The Night the Hallway Came Alive

Tight close-up on Liliana's face in a dimly lit room. Her eyes are wide, light leaks through a cracked window, the air is heavy. She whispers, I swear, the mirror didn't show me, it showed a dead man smiling. Flash image, a pale young man in the mirror staring straight at the camera.

Text on screen, Weather Hall Manor. Still has secrets.

Liliana Ross, a quiet and curious history student, receives a formal letter. She has inherited a massive country manor from a mysterious great-aunt she never met. She travels deep into the English countryside to find Weatherhall Manor, an estate swallowed by fog and silence.

Inside, tall mirrors are all veiled in crimson cloth. The elderly maid, Mrs. Moran, meets her at the door and warns, The mirrors here are not ordinary. It's best they remain covered.

That night, driven by restless curiosity, Liliana uncovers 1 mirror. At first, nothing happens, but near midnight, a pale face appears behind her in the reflection, though she is alone in the room. Each night, the face becomes clearer. He writes foggy words like innocent and help me. His gaze pleads, his smile is mournful. Liliana seeks the help of Professor William Darcy, a historian specializing in metaphysical folklore. He confirms The figure is Lord Alastair White, a young nobleman who drowned in 1883 after being declared insane. But old letters and estate records tell a different story. Alastair had tried to expose his uncle, Lord Gerald, for embezzlement and vanished days before delivering proof. One stormy night, Alistair's visions guide Liliana to a secret passage behind a bookcase in the abandoned library. It leads to a hidden chamber sealed for over a century, inside a black mirror, Alistair's lost journal and a confession written by his uncle admitting the crime. The moment she lifts the journal, the mirror glows softly. Alistair appears for the last time, eyes filled with tears, whispering, Thank you, you've freed the truth. He vanishes in peace, leaving behind a faint scent of lavender. Liliana restores Weatherhall Manor and reopens it as the Alistair Museum, a tribute to lost voices and unjust endings. Tourists admire the infamous mirror, but now it shows only their own reflections. In the final shot, Liliana stands before the same mirror, and for the first time, she smiles. From the empty second floor, faint piano notes echo.

The end.
